California Consumer Privacy Notice

1. Who this notice is for

This notice supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies to natural persons resident in the State of California who use Nexus Legal. It is issued by Quantum Nexus Ventures FZCO, the controller of personal information processed through the platform.

2. Categories of personal information collected

In the past 12 months we have collected:

• Identifiers: name, email, account ID.
• Commercial information: credit purchases, invoice metadata (no card numbers).
• Internet/network activity: IP address, user-agent, session timestamps.
• Professional information: declared bar association and roll number, if voluntarily entered.
• Inferences: usage patterns and feature preferences derived from the above.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioural advertising.

3. Your rights under the CCPA

• Right to know. Request a portable export of the personal information we hold about you, the categories, the sources, the purposes of processing and the categories of recipients.
• Right to delete. Request deletion of your personal information, subject to the legal exceptions (security records, billing history required by tax law, ongoing legal claims).
• Right to correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share for cross-context advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. The "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" toggle in your account is present to confirm this default in writing.
• Right to limit use of sensitive information. Sensitive personal information (account credentials, precise geolocation) is only used to provide the service requested.
• Right to non-discrimination. Exercising any of the above will not result in any reduction of service, change of pricing or denial of features.

4. How to exercise these rights

The fastest path is in-product, from the Privacy tab in account settings. Requests sent through that flow are authenticated automatically.

Alternatively, write to privacy@nexusquantum.legal with subject "CCPA request". We will verify your identity (matching email of record and additional account-specific information if required) and respond within 45 calendar days, with one extension of an additional 45 days where allowed by law.

5. Authorised agents

You may designate an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf. Send written authorisation to privacy@nexusquantum.legal. We will verify both the agent's authority and your identity before acting.

6. Minors

Nexus Legal is intended for legal professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 and we do not sell or share personal information of minors.

7. Changes to this notice

Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page and notified by email to active users at least 30 days before they take effect.

8. Authoritative version

This document is authoritative in English. Translations may be provided for convenience but the English text governs.
